Real-time information on traffic flow is currently in high demand. In the future this will become more and more essential in providing the traffic information. Viasuisse uses the latest technologies available aimed at providing traffic flow data (flow data).
To record flow data, anonymous GPS positions and velocity data are recorded and processed from different vehicles. This system is called FCD (floating car data). Viasuisse works together with a variety of sources, including telematics providers, who transmit the data from the vehicles of their clients (for example - fleet operators). Traffic information can then be generated using the transmitted data of the position and speed of the vehicles.
