The linguistic capability of Viasuisse confirmed

Fabian Engel, President of the Association Bilingualism+, presents the label to Mark
Bögli, CEO Viasuisse.
On 21 December 2011 Viasuisse received the label "Bilingualism" again for the second time. The procedure for the certification was the same as the first time five years ago. And Viasuisse could once again demonstrate the high linguistic capability of the company.
The label "Bilingualism" underlines the efforts of companies bearing this distinction, in communicating with external customers in their respective national languages, and at the same time, supporting the bi- and tri-lingual capabilities of the employees.

The criteria of the label in detail
The label "Bilingualism" measures the quality of bilingualism in three categories: Services and communication to external clients, compilation and linguistic capabilities of the employees, communication within the company and linguistic company policy. Viasuisse provides its services for the whole of Switzerland and so communicates externally in the three national languages German, French and Italian. Within the company, an attitude of respect and support for multi-lingual abilities is actively encouraged, with employees profiting from exchanges with one another.

The Association Bilingualism+ was founded in 2001 in Biel. Its objective is the promotion of bilingualism in the region and mutual respect between the linguistic communities.
